Free!? So where is the catch..?
Only pilots know what pilots need. This is why we have created the Airport Information Directory.
Combining more than 27 years of active worldwide GA-flying in our own company, with the neat but discontinued concept of the FLYMAN
database this Airport Guide will hand you all the stuff you won't find in your trusted Route Manual or AIP:
How much is the fuel? Can I walk to the beach? Is there a train? What are the fees?
This database provides a much-needed service to all adventurous pilots in Europe. It's free of charge and it will remain free of charge.
However, your participation is needed:
Help other pilots to make a trip possible: Share your information here. Thank you!

27 Years of Journalism from
a Cockpit Point of View
For 28 years Pilot und Flugzeug is published monthly.
We report on the practical aspects of general aviation, legislative issues, Air-Traffic Control and
regulatory authorities.
We criticise, analyze and report first hand from the cockpit. Assumingly we're the only
general aviation magazine in the world that operates it's own company airplane -
currently a Piper Turbo Twin Comanche, N7311Y.
In German language, there is no alternative to Pilot und Flugzeug.
On 114 pages we report on general aviation from single engine to bizjets.
And we are advocates to general aviation - examples:

- We changed German aviation regulations through our constructive criticism.
- We keep the notorious german Luftaufsicht in check.
- In the past years we caused 5 aviation related fines to be repealed.
- We ensured that Flight Safety was approved as German training facility.
- We showed that many German VFr procedures around uncontrolled airfields
are simply in violation of the law.
- We hold safety-seminars and GPS training courses.
- Since 1994 we organized 10 intercontinental flying trips for our subscribers, the last one
in 2007 all the way to Southamerica.
Our readers flew more than 2.1 Million Nautical Miles (3,900,000 km) during these
legendary trips to destinations including Africa, Australia, Alaska, China and Mexico!
- surely unique in the international scene of general aviation magazines.
